  The Big Picture - World Music Portraits from Denmark 2004/2005

Once a year the Danish World Music Association releases a compilation CD aimed at the international market with examples of the cream of Danish World music that year. The CDs are all released prior to the annual World Music Expo.

In 2004 the World Music Expo is held late October in Essen, Germany.
One of the included tracks on the CD is the Salsa Loca song 'Amor Con Amor' written by bass player Per Kincaid.

The artists in the order that they appear on the CD:

  Danish World Awards 2003 - The Djembe Prize.

Nov. 15, 2003 the Danish World Music Association and the World Music magazine Djembe for the second time staged the popular award event where prizes for contributions to the Danish World music scene are handed out.

Salsa Loca was nomineed in two of the three categories: 'Årets Specialpris' (Special prize of the year) and 'Djembeprisen' (the Djembe Prize).

The Djembe Prize is the readers' prize. The relevant issue of the magazine Djembe came with the compilation CD comprising 16 tracks by Danish World music acts all of whom were nominated beforehand. One of these tracks were the Salsa Loca song 'El Amor de mis Sueños' written by trombone player Jakob Johansen.

Salsa Loca became the best ranked Salsa band and one of the four runners up to the winner, Veneno.

It was released prior to the World Music Expo 2003 which was held in Sevilla, Spain.

One of the included tracks on the was the Salsa Loca song 'Salsa Loca' written by piano player Sten Holme.
